The TWHS Speech and Debate team travels around the local, regional, state and national areas competing at some of the most prestigious tournaments. Below you can find information on the different circuits of which we compete in.

NSDA: National Speech and Debate Association

The NSDA is the generic governing body of virtually every speech and debate tournament. It takes 25 NSDA points to become a member of the honor society. You can find more info on the honor society, as well as points reports, topics, and some very valuable tips/ help on their website.

TFA: Texas Forensics Association

The TFA oversees the majority of tournaments in Texas, as almost every tournament we attend is sanctioned under the TFA. In addition, throughout the year, varsity members have the opportunity to collect TFA points, and if at the conclusion of the season they have 12 points or more, they qualify to attend the state tournament.
